New Homewood Suites Now Open on Internationally Renowned Pike Street in Seattle
| May 23, 2008 |
After a $9 million renovation, the Homewood Suites Convention Center/Pike Street is now welcoming guests to their well-known Pike Street location in Seattle.
This historic location, formerly the site of Seattle’s first hotel, was transformed by AEW Capital Management (based in Boston, Massachusetts) and Stonebridge Companies (headquartered in Denver, Colorado) into a charismatic, bold modern-era design reinventing the home-away-from-home atmosphere.
“Today’s guests seek balance in their lives. They work hard and play hard and deserve a home away from home when traveling. The aim of our $9 million renovation was to put the living part of ‘living on the road’ into the guest experience,” says Navin C. Dimond, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stonebridge Companies. With cozy designs, up-to-date amenities, and profound attentive services, this property will quickly earn a reputation as one of the classic downtown Seattle hotels.”
The renovation features 195 individually re-designed guestrooms, studio and one-bedroom suites that offer stunning views of the city and the famous Space Needle. Unique features include the Suites Dreams® mattress, plush-top bedding, whisper soft sheets, and the Signature Homewood Duck Pillow. Each ultra-comfortable room has bright, modern designs and is outfitted with a 32” LCD television, granite countertops and vanities.
Guests will enter the hotel via a transformed, unforgettably attractive lobby that blends modern colors with serene accents and designs. Here they can enjoy the customary complimentary light meal and beverages Monday through Thursday evenings and the daily complimentary Suites Start® breakfast each morning.
The hotel has an address to brag about, located on the renowned Pike Street just blocks from the celebrated Pike Place Market. The hotel has the ultimate location for convention goers just one block from the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Many downtown Seattle attractions are within walking distance of the hotel or a complimentary shuttle service is also available to hotspots such as the theatre district, museums, restaurants, and shopping. For sports enthusiasts, Safeco Field, Quest Field and Key Arena are a quick ten minute ride. www.seattleconventioncenterpikestreet.homewoodsuites.com
